The main goal is to achieve well-aligned teeth that are in harmony with those on the opposing jaw. Although commonly associated with straightening teeth, modern orthodontics goes beyond its literal meaning \u2014 it also addresses lower and mid-face irregularities as part of comprehensive treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How is Orthodontics Treated?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Orthodontic treatment is divided into two types: removable and fixed.\nRemovable treatment involves the use of clear aligners or appliances (also known as retainers) that the patient can insert and remove on their own. This method is commonly used to correct minor crowding or spacing between teeth.\n\nIn fixed treatment, small components called brackets are bonded to the teeth and cannot be removed by the patient. These brackets, which can be made of metal or ceramic, are connected by special wires.
